Diagnosis & fix steps
Strain Gauge / Load Cell Inconsistency.
LOGIC: The computer sees a voltage from the rear axle strain gauge that is "implausible" (e.g., negative weight or max capacity while empty).
ACTION: 1. Check the strain gauge on the rear axle for physical damage.
2. Verify the cabling isn't pinched in the axle pivot.
FIX: Recalibrate the strain gauge or replace the Load Cell sensor.
Red Seal field insights
Dirt and rocks often get packed into the rear axle pivot area, preventing the strain gauge from flexing correctly. Clean the axle area with a pressure washer before attempting to recalibrate the LMI system.
