Diagnosis & fix steps
LOGIC: Fuel High-Pressure Pump Metering Valve Short to Ground.
ACTION: Disconnect fuel metering unit (MPROP) on Bosch/Kohler rail pump. Measure coil resistance (~2.5–3.8Ω); check harness loom where it routes past the aluminum intake crossover.
