Symptom
Slow Boom Lift / Pump Stalling
Diagnosis & fix steps
LOGIC: Main Pump Proportional Reducing Valve (PRV) Sensor Voltage Above Limit.
ACTION: Disconnect PRV sensor pigtail at main Kawasaki hydraulic pump. Measure reference voltage (must be 5.0V ± 0.1V); check signal line for short to 24V supply in the pump compartment harness.
Red Seal field insights
Frame Loom Chafing: Unsecured pump compartment wiring vibrates against sharp hydraulic tube clamps, shorting the 5V sensor signal wire directly into adjacent 24V solenoid feeds.
