Diagnosis & fix steps

LOGIC: Engine Speed (Crank) Sensor signal erratic. ACTION: Check sensor resistance (typ. 100-200 Ohms) and harness shielding.

Pro-Tip: Hitachi sensors are sensitive to "air gap." If the bracket is slightly bent, the signal drops at high RPM. Reset gap to 1.0mm.

Diagnosis & fix steps

LOGIC: Abnormal Engine Speed signal. ACTION: Check the Crankshaft and Camshaft speed sensors. If the sensors are clean, perform a "Tug Test" on the sensor harness near the starter.

Specs: Sensor resistance should be 100–200 Ohms. Hint: These sensors are highly sensitive to the "Air Gap." Target 1.0mm for a stable signal.
