LOGIC: Rotary speed sensor "glitch." ACTION: Inspect the rotary encoder on the spindle; check gap (0.5mm) and for metal shavings.

The encoder is sensitive. If the grease seal leaks, the magnet gets covered in metallic "fuzz" from the gearbox, causing a false signal.
