Diagnosis & fix steps
Injector Solenoid Fault (Cylinder specific).
LOGIC: Open circuit or short in the XPI (Extra High Pressure Injection) injector solenoid.
ACTION: 1. Identify which cylinder (651=1, 652=2, etc.).
2. Remove the valve cover.
3. Check the small 7mm nuts on the injector terminals for looseness.
FIX: Tighten injector terminals or replace the specific XPI Injector.
Red Seal field insights
Vibration on the V8 often causes the tiny nuts on the injector leads to back off. Before replacing a $1,000 injector, try tightening the terminal nuts and clearing the code.
