Diagnosis & fix steps

LOGIC: Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Voltage Low (Short to Ground). ACTION: Disconnect common rail sensor harness. Check harness signal wire continuity to ground (must be infinite Ω). Inspect engine wiring channel above the intake manifold for harness chafing.

Signal Ground Short: Pinched wiring against engine head brackets drops sensor signal to 0V; the ECM assumes 0 bar rail pressure and drives the metering unit wide open.
