Diagnosis & fix steps

Water in Fuel Sensor High/Low. LOGIC: The sensor in the primary fuel bowl detects conductivity (water) at the bottom of the filter. ACTION: 1. Drain the fuel/water separator. 2. Check the sensor plug for corrosion (false readings). FIX: Drain water from fuel system; replace fuel filters; or replace the Water-In-Fuel sensor.

Deere sensors are very sensitive. If the bowl is clear but the code stays, the pins in the connector are likely corroded from the moisture. Replace the pigtail and the sensor together.
