Diagnosis & fix steps
Engine Fuel Derate.
LOGIC: This is a "Condition" code, not a sensor fault. The ECU is protecting the engine because of another active fault (usually heat or emissions).
ACTION: 1. Check for other active ECU codes.
2. Verify coolant and oil temperatures.
3. Check for fuel restriction.
FIX: Address the primary fault code that triggered the derate.
