No Dosing. The system stops injecting DEF; "Service Required" on Litronic display.

Diagnosis & fix steps

Reductant Injection Valve Circuit Open. LOGIC: The DCU detects a break in the wiring to the DEF injector (doser). ACTION: Check the harness connector at the doser for vibration damage.

Pro-Tip: Don't just look for broken wires. On drilling rigs, the heat-wrap on the exhaust can trap moisture, causing the pins in the doser connector to rot. Pull the plug and check for green corrosion.

Aftertreatment (SCR)

Symptom

Limp Mode. DEF dosing stops immediately.

Diagnosis & fix steps

Reductant Injector Circuit Open (Bank 1). LOGIC: The Control Module sees an open electrical path to the dosing valve.

Red Seal Fix: Unplug the injector and measure resistance (usually 12–15 Ohms). If the injector is good, check for a broken wire near the exhaust where heat makes the insulation brittle.
