Diagnosis & fix steps

Exhaust Pressure Sensor Range/Performance. LOGIC: The Exhaust Backpressure (EBP) sensor reading doesn't match the Boost/Baro sensors at key-on. ACTION: 1. Locate the EBP sensor (on the thermostat housing area). 2. Remove the metal tube leading to the exhaust manifold. FIX: Clean soot from the EBP sensor tube; replace EBP sensor.

Red Seal field insights

The small metal tube that connects the sensor to the exhaust manifold gets 100% plugged with soot. If the tube is blocked, the sensor is "blind" to actual pressure.
