Diagnosis & fix steps

LOGIC: OD Pressure Switch Circuit Range / Performance. ACTION: Measure resistance and terminal pin tension at the transmission 23-pin main harness connector. If wiring passes, drop the valve body and replace the integrated solenoid pack/pressure switch assembly.

Switch Diaphragm Fatigue: The 68RFE solenoid block houses five pressure switches sealed with elastomeric diaphragms. Thermal fatigue ruptures the Overdrive diaphragm, causing the TCM to see hydraulic pressure when the circuit is supposed to be vented.
