Machine Stuck in Low (Tortoise) Track Speed
Diagnosis & fix steps
LOGIC: Travel Speed Shift (Two-Speed) Solenoid Circuit Open.
ACTION: Disconnect travel speed solenoid on the center swivel pilot manifold. Measure coil resistance (~28Ω). Check harness continuity through the cab console travel mode rocker switch.
Red Seal field insights
Mechanical Shift: The track drive motors use pilot pressure to de-stroke the variable displacement swashplate for high speed; an open circuit keeps the motor pinned at maximum torque/low speed.
