LOGIC: SCR Catalyst Outlet Gas Temperature High (Critical Limit Exceeded). ACTION: Inspect SCR inlet and outlet temperature probes for thermal sensor drift. Check for excessive fuel dilution in exhaust from a dripping HC doser or stuck DPF regeneration.

Thermal Shock: Exhaust temperatures over ~650°C (1200°F) degrade the internal SCR catalytic coating (zeolite/vanadium substrate), triggering shutdown to protect the catalyst brick.
